The things around us obey. They respond to our voices, trace our movements, anticipate desires we haven't even felt yet, and decide for us before we've realized there's a choice. Obedience has become subtle—no longer the mechanical bark of command but a silent, frictionless surrender embedded deeply into the fabric of our digitally saturated present. It is precisely this smooth, effortless compliance that defines today's new servitude.Obedient objects are born from a technological upheaval that goes far beyond producing mere tools—it now orchestrates entire realities. They watch us, categorize our actions, and respond—not secretly, but openly, with sleek smiles, ruthless efficiency, and calculated benevolence. The routines they create are no accident; they are the expression of a culture where control and conformity seep quietly but persistently into daily life. The domesticated routine is obedience internalized, so ingrained that it no longer needs to be questioned.

Mediated realities are permeated by algorithmic prophecies, virtual landscapes, and automated reflexes that forge a new social order. Relationships, choices, and perceptions become increasingly data-driven and technologically mediated. Authenticity has lost its edge—what matters now is functionality.

The exhibition <Click. Obey. Repeat. // Obedient Objects & the Domesticated Routine> exposes a fundamental structural crisis of our contemporary moment: How do we grapple with technologies that have evolved from tools into governing forces? What responsibility do we bear for systems that simulate decisions, mimic intimacy, and standardize desire? And how can we carve out spaces for disobedience, doubt, and defiant critical thought within these systems?
